Remix (Eclectic Laboratory Chambers Orchestra)
As their name suggests ELCO is a group of 15 talented and wildly diverse performers challenging the typical conception of what it is to be an orchestra. Turntables and flutes, classical and rock, these are just a few of the innovative combinations created by ELCO. Fusing classical training and modern- technology ELCO pushes music to the edge, utilizing DJs, live musicians, dancers and video to create a unique audiovisual experience. In the works since 2008, their performance Remix incorporates electronics and technology to the remove the barriers of genre and expand the repertoire of modern and classical music.
