Rolling Thunder Democracy Festival
The third annual Rolling Thunder Festival will be on Saturday August 13th, Noon till 8pm at Sand Point's Magnuson Park on beautiful Lake Washington. This uplifting outdoor festival brings you Main Stage Speakers and Music, over 20 Workshops, Exhibits, Art, Food, Information Tables and Fun for all ages. The Northwest progressive community is invited to come celebrate, network, and prepare to take our democracy back!
Rolling Thunder first blew into Seattle in August of 2002, when nearly 5,000 people converged on Renton's Petrovitsky Park. The fun continued at last July's festival at Magnuson Park.
As Rolling Thunder originator and Texas rabble-rouser Jim Hightower said, We put the Party back in Politics!
This summers festival will feature a full schedule of local and national speakers and panel discussions on topics vital to upcoming elections, civil liberties, environmental justice, health, veterans' issues, sustainability, grassroots activism, media, and real homeland security.
Look for future announcements as the speaker and musician lineup is solidified.
