The Art Of Brooklyn
The Art of Brooklyn was started in 2011 as the first festival to bring "old" and "new" Brooklyn together. We want to create an ongoing conversation between the new Brooklyn-based art community, the Brooklyn of immigrants and transplants, and the Brooklyn of those who were born and raised here.
We celebrate the creative energy that as always made our borough one of the most exciting places in the world. We embrace artists from all over New York City; helping them gain exposure for their work while giving audiences the chance to experience points of view that might not otherwise get seen.
Because to us, all Brooklyns are created equal.
"Brooklyn is the 'Creative Capital of New York City' and one of the most diverse places in the world. So what better place for the Art of Brooklyn Film, Music & Art Festival to bring together 'new' and 'old' Brooklyn showcasing the extraordinary talents of everyone who calls our borough home." Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz
