Slow Food Roots Music Festival
Music & Food! Farmers, Authors, Crafters & Cooks!
The Food: Local, organic and wholesome food vendors; a farmer's market, chef demonstrations and Slow Food related authors.
The Music & Entertainment: Two stages featuring national, local and family entertainment booked with a well-seasoned ear toward the roots of American music (folk, blues, bluegrass, country, gospel and regional styles); plus a variety of kid's activities. Performers include Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Dave Alvin, Los Straitjackets, The Moondoggies and the Skagit Valley's Knut Bell.
The Art: Juried local artists and crafters showing, demonstrating and selling their wares.
The Setting: The Stanwood Camano Community Fairgrounds is the perfect backdrop, with its evergreens, log cabins, state-of-the-art staging and cozy hometown ambiance.
