Soul Food Farm Hog Butchery Class
Soul Food Farm will be teaching a class on breaking down a pastured pig. Master Butchers David Budworth and Chris Arentz will break down a Soul Food Farm pig and teach the students the different cuts. Both Butchers are experienced in American and Italian style butchery techniques and will go over the differences. There is some hands on work for those students interested.Each student will be taking home cuts of meat. Lunch after class will be prepared by John Fink of the Whole Beast. He will be cooking up half a pig and speaking on how to cook over an open fire. Lunch will be served outside in the garden. You will have a chance to dine with the teachers, John Fink and the farmer/owners of Soul Food Farm. Offering a few more hours to ask questions and round our your afternoon lesson.
