Graphic Artists Guild May Workshop-Georgia Ball
Web analytics are a window into the private world of website user behavior, but at first glance, it can also look like a tangled wilderness. Just what do all of those numbers and percentages mean?
Follow the User as she navigates through your website by learning how to read the language of web analytics. This seminar will begin with basic terms, from how the information is recorded to its significance for your bottom line, then go through the key components of the Google Analytics interface, and conclude with next-level tutorials on tracking conversions and search terms.
A website developer since 1999, Georgia Ball has used web analytics to gain proven results for national corporations, small business, advertising agencies and non-profit organizations. She began the first analytics executive summaries within Wyndham Vacation Ownership in 2006, inspiring changes in business practices that measurably improved sales and customer service. Also a long-time multimedia designer, she has previously designed for such companies as Microsoft, IBM, and the Cartoon Network and is currently employed in the online advertising division of the Walt Disney Company. She is the author of the webcomic Scooter and Ferret and the upcoming Strawberry Shortcake comic books by Ape Entertainment.
