Southeast Asian Ice Cream, Sorbet, and Halo-Halo
Perhaps you've made ice cream before. But have you made AVOCADO ice cream? This class will teach you how to make iced desserts in the flavors of Southeast Asia. We'll learn how to make avocado and jackfruit ice creams, and lychee and buko (young coconut) sorbets. We will also make the ultimate Filipino shaved ice dessert: halo-halo. Typically layered with sweet beans, shaved ice, jelly and topped with a scoop of ice cream, this is a style of dessert that appears throughout Southeast Asia in different forms to cool and sweeten the palate in hot climates.
