Progressive Performance Festival
Continuing VPL's experimental approach to presentation and performance, the Progressive Performance Festival is designed as a full evening where performers and audiences will be on the move.
The Festival features three emerging choreographers -- Emily Johnson, Adele Myers and Candice Salyers -- who are making hybrid performance works that bridge, stretch and deepen the definition of contemporary dance.
Each evening an audience of 35 will gather at the Blue Moose Cafe to pick up tickets and chat over drinks and tapas before being transported by bus to three performance sites in Brattleboro. Tickets to individual performances are available too .... read on!
This small, non-traditional festival format is designed to bring audiences and artists together in a way that we hope will stimulate conversation and the imagination.

BLACKFISH, performs live improvised duets with Emily Johnson in "The Thank-you Bar." With an upright bass, pedal steel, nylon and steel string acoustic guitars, and myriad effects and looping pedals, the duo creates spontaneous sounds and songs that span from the intricate and spare to dense and layered sonic constructions. This late night Blackfish concert will be live recorded!! VIP add on options are available for all shows for an additional $10 - this includes reserved seating and a complimentary ticket to the late night Black Fish concert on Saturday June 4th.
