Poets from across the nation will be here competing against some of our finest Houston Poets! Poets as seen on HBO Poetry Def Jam and Verses & Flow. If you love poetry, this is the event of the year!

The Bayou City Poetry Grand Slam have joined forces with the Alley Theatre for an all day event.
12:00pm-1:00pm - Teen Slam Workshop (12-18 yrs) FREE & OPEN TO PUBLIC
1:00pm- 2:00pm - Teen Slam Workshop (12-18 yrs) Partner School Program Students
2:00pm- 3:00pm - Adult workshop 18 and up FREE & OPEN TO PUBLIC
3:30pm-5:00pm Slam Poets @ Alley Theatre (Teen Slam) The top two winners will be sacrificial poets at the Bayou City Slam (FREE TO PUBLIC)
7:00pm-10:00pm - Bayou City Poetry Grand Slam - $10.00 Presale $15.00 at Door
This year the host of the Bayou City will be Theresa Davis out of Atlanta, GA .
