Harp Concert for Red Cross Japan earthquake relief - Martha Gallagher & friends
Two harp players (and too many strings to count!) will spin music to raise funds for Red Cross Japanese earthquake relief in this lively evening of music. You'll hear bluesy ballads, witty original songs, music for harp duo, even some film score selections all on the harp! Martha Gallagher, the Adirondack Harper, will headline the concert performing original music from her new CD release Ebb & Flow. Not your standard singer-songwriter armed with a guitar, Gallagher's instrument of choice is the Celtic harp, and her songwriting expands the boundaries of that storied instrument. Vashon Island harpist-composer Leslie McMichael will open the show with her own original works for harps and voice.
