Taste of the Eastside
On May 15, 2011, Rose Scharlin Cooperative will produce the inaugural Taste of the Eastside food festival, to be held at Barnsdall Art Park. Our goal is to establish a yearly event that unites community members and business owners who share an appreciation for great food. Co-sponsored by Eric Garcetti of District 13 and Tom LaBonge of District 4 this event will showcase the best of independent restaurants primarily from the neighborhoods of Silver Lake, Echo Park, Atwater, and Highland Park, as well as our sponsors and vendors. In staging this community building event, we will be raising funds for Children's Hospital of LA, Barnsdall Art Park, See-LA and our non-profit organization.
