Squamish Motorcycle Festival: Kickoff Party
Join us with your friends in this picnic style dinner at the well loved Squamish local's secret of Fergies Cafe, while laughing along with the tales of Don Hatton's adventures riding. Tickets include admission, free shuttle service and one Fergie's Pulled Pork Sandwich or Roasted Mushroom Cap sandwich with Goat Feta Cheese & Arugula, and eligibility for raffle prizes.

Who Is Don?
Don Hatton has competed in more international off-road motorcycle rallies than any other Canadian. More than just a 3 time Dakar rider, Don is a story teller. His humble modesty about being human as well as a competitor, makes him a popular guest speaker, as he keeps his audience laughing. He'll regale stories that any rider can relate to: like once when he was run over by one of the Dakar racing lorries, or the time he got shot at or the other time when he was mugged, or the joy of riding through sand storms or being lost in the Sahara for two hours or having his dreams of Dakar being derailed by random food poisoning. Don was also the first Canadian to take a full team to the Dakar and he has been on film and television with popular guys like Charley Boorman. He spends his spare time instructing adventure riding courses, and fits in time to be a loving husband and dad, and the owner of Hatton Insurance Agency (which has unsurprisingly focused on developing a unique motorcycle insurance program).
You can also ride with Don at the Squamish Motorcycle Festival on Sunday July 5's off road ride, hosted by the Squamish Dirt Bike Association. Details will be announced soon on our Facebook and website.
Please note:
* beverages and additional food items will be available at an additional cost. Fergie's is a licensed establishment.
* we offer a free shuttle service to/from the Executive Suites Hotel and Wonderland Valley RV and Resort. Additional drop off/pick up locations can be arranged for a small fee by prior arrangement (please contact squamishmotorcyclefestival@gmail.com to arrange this at least 24 hours in advance).

This event is a fundraiser for the Squamish Motorcycle Festival and our designated charitable cause for 2015: the machine shop at the Howe Sound Secondary School.
