What Happened In Ohio
What Happened in Ohio began a year and a half ago with an exploration, through meticulous physicality, of the elemental events of leaving and being left behind. Along the way, inspired by the actual four people who would be performing, director Cara Scarmack developed the script, based on four siblings in rural 1950s America weathering the tragic trials of their time. The language is intimate and old-timey, poetic and unpredictable. Told with fierce theatricality, the story is alive in the here and now, and the joyous, transcendent original music takes you way back.
