This musical burlesque chronicles the rise of the optimistic, yet spectacularly accident-prone, Belle Poitrine (born Schlumpfert) in her quest for "wealth, culture & social position" and the hand of the high-born Noble Eggleston. The zesty Cy Coleman score features "The Other Side of the Tracks", "I've Got Your Number", "Real Live Girl" and "Here's To Us".

APPLAUSE! Musicals In Concert has been presenting concert ("scripts in hand") presentations of musicals since 1997. The focus is on the music, and not on the sets, lights and costumes which often are part of a larger musical theatre production. Concerts also take place in an intimate venue so the audience can hear and experience the show up close.
