An Intimate Evening with GRAMMY Award Nominee Gentle Thunder
The Alaska Center for Spiritual Living presents...An intimate evening with GRAMMY award nominated multi-instrumentalist (hammer dulcimer & Native American flutes) Gentle Thunder who will offer a night of spirit infused music and inspiration.
Gentle Thunder enchants audiences worldwide and is known for her distinctive sound and heart filled presence. The Wall Street Journals Jim Fusilli calls her music direct and organic.
This is the first time for Gentle Thunder to appear in Anchorage offering her original music and looks forward to sharing this evening of fellowship and music.
Gentle Thunder's life is abundant with composing, recording, producing other musicians, performing solo and with other amazing artists, teaching and inspiring groups and individuals of all ages, facilitating sacred events, collaborating in service with non-profit organizations as well as appearances with the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers whenever possible.
SPECIAL NOTE: The 13 Indigenous Grandmothers are having their 9th Council Gathering in Anchorage May 18-21, 2011 hosted by beloved Yupik elder Rita Pitka Blumenstein.
