Slow Food: South Shore Sunday Supper
Shady Creek Winery (Michigan City, IN) has agreed to host our Second Annual Sunday Supper, and we are so excited!
We had a great turnout last year and we look forward to another great Supper.
Menu: Menu: Appetizer: Smoked Whitefish Brandade Tartine with Pickled Asparagus, Red Radish and Dill
Family Style Meal: Salad - Mixed Greens, Kenny's Farmhouse Blue, Michigan Dried Cherries, Radish, Local Honey Vinaigrette
Braised Swiss Chard
Fettucini with Sweet Pea and Mint Pesto
Grilled Salmon with Pure Michigan Maple and Mustard Sauce
Pork Roulade with Greens, Chorizo, and Smoked Tomato Salsa
Sugar Snap Peas
Dessert: Valpo Velvet Ice Cream with Honeycomb from Panos Farms
Guest Chefs are John Bolger of LaSalle Grill in South Bend and Aaron Kujawa of Bartlett's Gourmet Grill and Tavern in Beverly Shores, IN
Attendees over age 21 will receive 2 free glasses of wine from the good people of Shady Creek! Our tasty non-alcoholic beverage will be a Lemon Balm Iced Tea
*** BAKE SALE*** - we will be holding a bake sale with all of the proceeds going to Little Sprouts, a local program teaching kids to grow their own food. We ask that each item in the bake sale be packaged to be sold for $10 each.
For anyone wiling to donate an item to the bake sale, please contact Leslie (lswibes@gmail.com) to let her know! Those who donate an item will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of several prizes! Additional tickets can be purchased for $1
Raffle tickets will be drawn at the end of the dinner - must be present to win.
