Jim Hall Quartet
Jim Hall, now 80 years old, has been making records for close to a half-century and is considered one of the greatest living jazz guitarists. He has worked with everybody from Sonny Rollins to Chico Hamilton, Art Farmer, Ella Fitzgerald, Zoot Simms, and Pat Metheny and played everywhere from the Village Vanguard to the White House. His live and recorded collaborations with Bill Evans, Paul Desmond, and Ron Carter are legendary and he has earned widespread acclaim for his skills as a composer and arranger. Named an NEA Jazz Master in 2010, Hall performs and records with a variety of ensembles around the world. Tonight, he is joined by bassist, Steve LaSpina; drummer Joey Baron; and special guest, saxophonist Greg Osby. Greg Osby has made an indelible mark on contemporary jazz as a leader of his own ensembles and as a guest artist with other acclaimed jazz groups for the past 20 years. He has recorded fifteen CDs on Blue Note Records as a leader and launched his own label, "Inner Circle Music" in 2008.
