A Tale of Blackbeard

History, action, romance, and humor are artistically intertwined in this production featuring community performers from Ocracoke Island!

This musical play, by Julie Howard, was presented for nine summer seasons between 1974 and 1994. Now, after a successful revival last year, the show returns to the Ocracoke stage for 2015. Directed by Courtney Conner, Desiree Ricker, and Julie Howard, A Tale of Blackbeard is produced by the Ocracoke non-profit, Ocracoke Alive. Profits from the show return to the Ocracoke Community through more programming through the organization.

Shows take place at the Ocracoke School Gym Auditorium on School Road, Ocracoke Island. Tickets for the 2015 season are $15 Adults and $5 Kids. The show lasts approximately two hours with intermission.

Some tickets are available for pre-sales online, and some tickets are held for the door sales. The door opens 30 minutes before the show. All seating is general.
