Starry Starry Nights
19th Annual Starry, Starry Nights - Raising Money and Magic
Starry, Starry Nights is the 'highlight' of the summer event season in Nevada County. Over 300 guests dressed in white, will mix and mingle, dine and dance on the lush grounds of the historic Empire Mine State Park in Grass Valley on Saturday, July 16. Later in the evening, guests can take a peek at the stars with the Nevada County Astronomers who will have their telescopes set up for star-gazing. "We invite everyone to come and enjoy the magic of Starry Starry Nights," said Gil Mathew, event co-chair. "With everyone dressed in white and the park covered in lights, it truly is a magical sight to see and a very unique experience to dine, dance and star gaze." The event/fundraiser is produced by the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation to benefit vital community health programs and projects at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.
Antonio's Custom Catering has been chosen to cater the elegant dinner. Award winning fine wines donated by Sierra Starr Winery, Naggiar Vineyards, Smith Vineyards and Nevada City Winery will be poured during the evening. A special surprise is in-store when the famous 'dessert tent' is unveiled.
Voted the Number One Good Time Party Band in the 90's by Sacramento Magazine, the Jay Rolerz dance band will be playing hits from the 40's to the 2000's. "Starry, Starry Nights is more than just an incredible and one-of-a-kind evening at the park, this event ensures that our community has access to the most updated technology and access to important healthcare programs." says Kimberly Parker, Executive Director of Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation. "In the past Starry Starry Nights has helped to purchase a C-Arm X-Ray machine for the surgery department and a new ambulance for the community as well as provide support for the Wellness Center, Cancer Center and Women and Infant Care Unit."
The Starry affair evening includes hors d'oeuvres, dinner, premium wines, beer, waters, dessert, dancing and star gazing. There will also be a no-host cocktail bar, complimentary wine and beer bar. Reservations are $125 per person ($75 tax deductible), can be ordered now to secure your invitation and need to be ordered in advance, no later than July 8th. Desserts donated by Antonio's Custom Catering & The Truffle Shop.
