The Enematic Cinematic LIVES!!: MY PET MONSTER
"Excuse me, sir. Your statues turned me into a monster. My parents aren't going to like this... "
The spring fevered film choices at TEC headquarters continues! This time with a straight-to-video childhood monstrosity you either never saw or permanently pushed back to the recesses of your brain! It's 1986's live action MY PET MONSTER! You know, based on that sort of huggable, adorably chained stuffed monster doll from the 80's! This time we are FINALLY treated to some origin story, involving ancient statues, dog shows and a fat kid who hulks out when he's hungry! Will the evil museum director get his hands on the power of the monster? Will Max (NECESSARY 80's NAME) be able to contain the beast within? Will someone tell me why there aren't more frightening live action toy movies like this?? You'll have to come to the next TEC LIVES!! to find out!!
Hosted by: ELICIA SANCHEZ (Comedian/TEC Creator/Lover of Tackiness) Co-hosts: TRAVIS VOGT & KEVIN CLARKE (Comedians/Filmmakers/Major Movie Nerds) Technical Adviser/DJ: MARK "PRODUCER MARK" ALLENDER (Artist/Cartoonist/Producer Of Things) with Special guest DAVID LEON (Comedian/Non-Monster/Wild Man)
PLUS the $5 cover gets you 1 raffle ticket good for our special prize packs from Scarecrow Video and Ugly Baby Shower Art!! Additional raffle tickets are just $1 for 5 tickets!!
Doors @ 7:45 Show starts @ 8:00 PM Be sure to come early and enjoy some totally terrible b-movie trailers from 7:45 'til showtime!!
