As You Like It
Wrestling, physical comedy, witty repartee and unrequited love all come together to create As You Like It, featuring Rosalind - the largest female role in Shakespeare's plays.
Our As You Like It is set in modern-day India where Mz.Duke (Rosalind's mother)has fled into the forest and established herself as a Guru after her sister's hostile take-over of the family company, Court Corp. Back in the city, Frederica Duke worries that the presence of her niece Rosalind undermines her power and claim to the company; after she sees her nice flirting with the son of an old rival Frederica banishes her from returning to Court. Rosalind (disguised as a man for safety), Celia (Frederica's only child) and their clownish friend Touchstone run away to the forest where they bump into Orlando, the man Rosalind is in love with. What will Rosalind do when the guy she's in love with thinks she's a guy (and is pretending she's his love Rosalind), a local girl has fallen in love with her and Frederica is hot on their heels searching for her daughter?
