The Road Less Travelled
What do the man who brought you Walking With Dinosaurs and the woman who combined Lime, Basil and Mandarin have in common? They both founded their extraordinary companies that grew into huge commercial and creative successes. Jo Malone founded her company by the same name which she later sold to Estée Lauder and has now started her new venture Jo Loves. Mike McGee co founded multi Oscar winning Framestore now one of the preeminent VFX companies in the world. Here they talk about their journey, thinking back to what drove them to start with, what challenges they faced, mistakes they made, and how they share an essential pioneer spirit, to set out on a road not normally travelled by many, a highly personal journey that led to a success that perhaps only they could have achieved. This session will be chaired by journalist Craig McLean, journalist and editor, SohoCreate magazine 4 June 12pm - 1.15pm
