chatterbird presents a night of intriguing new classical music at abrasiveMedia in Houston Station. Come and cheer on the chatterbirders as we premiere a gorgeous new commission from Nashville's own Brooke Waggoner, titled MINOR BORN. Concerts at 3:30 and 7:30 PM, so you'll have TWO chances to see us perform!

Daniel Wohl's PIXELATED, for toy piano, piano, percussion, and electronics Logan Castro's SONATA, for cello and piano Bryan Clark's NIGHT SHIFT, for chamber ensemble with typewriter Jacob TV's GARDEN OF LOVE, for soprano sax and electronics Randy Woolf's EVERYTHING IS GREEN, for flute, piano, and electronics (featuring narration of a David Foster Wallace short story alongside original video projections) Gene Koshinski's GET IT!, for bassoon and percussion Ted Hearne's BUT I VOTED FOR SHIRLEY CHISHOLM, for chamber orchestra and electronics, featuring BIZ MARKIE's "Nobody Beats the Biz"
Tickets are $15 in advance (fees included) and $20 at the door. Credit/debit and cash will be accepted at the door.
