Lava 1 & 2 Presents: Celebration of the Grass Roots of Urban Aerosol Art
A Black History Month Celebration of The Grass Roots of Urban Aerosol Art Featuring the artwork of legends Dose, Clyde, Bama, Slave, Rozone TC5, Stay High 149 and many more legends. Short films screened will include "New York Art Cypher" and "Tuff City Art Styles." Will include a panel discussion with Aerosol Art legends, an art show and an a reception.
ABOUT THE CINEMA: The Maysles Cinema is a non-profit theater in Harlem dedicated to the exhibition of documentary film and video. In addition to presenting the masterworks of the documentary tradition, overlooked or under-distributed gems and new releases, the Cinema is a space for meaningful social exchange, offering a forum for the discussion of questions of social and economic justice. Screenings are $10 General Admission (suggested). The Maysles Cinema is located at 343 Lenox Avenue/Malcolm X Boulevard, between 127th and 128th Streets, New York, NY 10027.
