The Wild and Scenic Film Festival
The Wild and Scenic Film Festival is a collection of films from the annual festival held the third week of January in Nevada City, CA which is now its 9th year! Wild & Scenic focuses on films which speak to the environmental concerns and celebrations of our planet. The films illustrate not only the challenges facing our planet but the work communities are doing to protect the environment and the places we love. The stories give us a sense of place and what it means to be responsible stewards of the earth. The home festival kicks-off the national tour to over 100 communities nationwide allowing SYRCL to share their success as an environmental group with other organizations. The Quivira Coalition will host two hours of upbeat films at a fun event with other local organizations on site, free product samples from our national sponsors and a raffle for great items and introduction by local legend, Jack Loeffler. Tickets are only $10 with no service charges. By a ticket now with a Quivira membership ($30 value)and save $10! Check the Quivira website for the list of films and more information.
