Lysistrata: A Woman's Translation
Troupe du Jour presents Lysistrata: A Womanâs Translation, Drue Robinson Haganâs adaptation of Aristophanesâ classic sex comedy. The women of Greece, led by the seductively persuasive Athenian, Lysistrata, stage a sex strike which leads to battles of wits, water, and âwillypowerâ in which the male members of Greek society are given a very hard time! This bawdy romp includes everything from slapstick to striptease.
This production is directed by Chryste Call with costume design by Lisa Thiroux and Stephanie Fernandez, set and lighting design by Jason Thiroux, and stage management by Kathy Nims. The cast includes Matt Amberg, Emily Cappel, Andrew Dolbeck, Erin Douglass, Jay Irwin, Patricia Haines-Ainsworth, Nick Mathews, Andrew McKelvey, Mok Moser, Dan Posluns, Jenny Schmidt, Andrick Schall, Kathleen Schroeder, Ruth Tru and Yvette Zaepfel.
