From the writer of "Wunderkinder" comes this beautiful new film. Fate has taken its toll on the aging cabaret singer and Holocaust survivor Ruth and a young German man named Jonas. Yet despite their great agedifference and their entirely opposite experiences in life, they form anintense bond and teach each other about life and love. Through theirinteraction, they give each other a reason and purpose to live.This film goes back and forth in time and includes scenes of Ruths youngeryears as a successful singer of Yiddish songs and reveals details of thegreat love of her life. And by the end, both characters have learned muchfrom each other.
