From the writer of "Wunderkinder" comes this beautiful new film. Fate has taken its toll on the aging cabaret singer and Holocaust survivor Ruth and a young German man named Jonas. Yet despite their great age difference and their entirely opposite experiences in life, they form an intense bond and teach each other about life and love. Through their interaction, they give each other a reason and purpose to live. This film goes back and forth in time and includes scenes of Ruths younger years as a successful singer of Yiddish songs and reveals details of the great love of her life.And by the end, both characters have learned much from each other.
