Queens New Music Festival 2015
The Fourth Annual Queens New Music Festival is presented this year by the Random Access Music collective along with Musica Reginae and LIC Arts Open.
The 2015 Queens New Music Festival starts with the Wednesday, 13 May (7:30pm) concert at the Church-in-the-Gardens in Forest Hills featuring the Kronos Quartet and Kaufman Center's Face the Music students. TICKETS FOR THIS CONCERT ONLY are available at Musica Reginae's site, musicareginae.org/current_season.php
We then move to the Secret Theatre in Long Island City for the remainder of the Festival, Thursday through Sunday. Thursday will be the Lost Dog New Music Ensemble playing a portrait concert, music by John Luther Adams (8pm); Friday will be the Random Access Music composers with Icktus Percussion for a concert of World Premieres (8pm); Saturday features the Eco-Music Big Band ensemble at 3pm, Guitarist Giacomo Baldelli with OOOpStudio at 6pm, and the Queens based ensemble Percussia at 8pm; on Sunday we have Ensemble 365 playing music of East Asia at 3pm, and ISSA Sonus Ensemble at 5pm.
An all access ticket is $60.00; Day passes are available on Saturday and Sunday for $30.00, and of course single tickets are available for all events for $20.00 (with the exception of the Kronos concert, which is $25.00). The Kronos concert is included with the "all access" ticket.
See queensnewmusicfestival.org or the festival FaceBook page for full concert details.
