Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show
This cult classic, originally a huge hit on the London stage in the 1970s then made into a motion picture that is still shown today on the big screen, The Rocky Horror Show is a story of creation, love, hate, adventure, and, most of all, sex. Brad and Janet, after getting engaged, have car trouble and wind up at the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite alien from the planet of Transsexual in the galaxy of Transylvania. There they meet (among others) Riff Raff, Magenta, Columbia and Dr. Frank-N-Furterâs new creation, Rocky, who is to be born that night! Audiences cannot help but be swept up in the fun and excitement, and before you know it you will be dancing the Time Warp with the cast.
The Theater Company produced The Rocky Horror Show six years ago and audiences have been begging for us to bring it back to stage. This production will be directed by Billy Mitchell, musically directed by Tom Berger, and choreographed by Robert Gonzales, Jr. Performances are held at the Monroe Theatrespace, 2nd Floor, 720 Monroe Street, Hoboken, NJ. Monroe is easily accessible by the NJ Transit Light Rail (9th Street/Congress Street Station in Hoboken) and free parking available.
