Ullr Fest Dinner, Dancing & Auction - Diamond Peak Ski Team
Ullr is the god of skiing, good times, and games in the snow. In Norse mythology, Ullr is a son of Sif and a stepson of Thor. He was a major god in prehistoric times, but there is little written of him which adds to his mystique. When you have that amazing run, where your string of turns make you feel invincible, it is an "Ullr moment".
The merriment in Ullr's honor is January 21-23, 2011. The 2nd Annual Ullr Fest will span 3 days at Diamond Peak Ski Resort. Activities include an Opening Ceremony, Bonfire, Marshmallow Roasting, Torch Light Parade, Pub Crawl, Costume Contest, Ullr Games, Ski Race, Poker Tournament, and Closing Ceremonies.
The main event on Saturday, January 22nd is an adults-only evening of live music, dinner, and dancing, with a silent and live auction. Get your viking gear in order celebrate our wonderful winter environment.
Tickets may be purchased online here or in person at the Diamond Peak Ski Team Chalet located in the upper parking lot.
5:00pm Silent Auction and no host cocktails. Music provided by "Quartet Minus One"
6:30pm Buffet Dinner including meat, pasta, and salad. Have fun at the live auction during dinner.
8-10pm Dancing with live D.J.
