Classical pianist Evan Pensis makes his Seattle debut with a solo recital at the Steinway Piano Gallery of Seattle on June 11th.
Heralded by the Los Angeles Daily News for possessing "virtuosic technique, tone, and musicality", Evan Pensis is a pianist based in Los Angeles, California. Pensis has won numerous national and international piano competitions. Most recently, Pensis was awarded First Place in the VSA Kennedy Center International Young Soloists Competition and as a grand prize winner, debuted at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C.
Other notable awards include the 9th Siegfried Weishaupt International Klavierwettbewerb, Grand Prize and Audience Award (Bad-Wurttemburg, Germany, 2013), the Redlands Bowl National Young Artist, First Place (Redlands, CA, 2013) and the Susan Torres International Piano Competition (Fresno, CA, 2014).
The Schwaebische Zeitung (Germany) praised his gala concert performances for his "extraordinary virtuosity of the piano", leading for the recording to be broadcast internationally on the SWR Radio.
Pensis studies on scholarship with maestro Daniel Pollack at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.
