SECOND ANNUAL SALUTE TO KING CREOLE CRAWFISH FESTIVAL
** Presold ticket sales have ended as of midnight on April 18. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $25. Children 5 years of age and younger will be admitted for free.
On Sunday, April 19, 2015, Chef Tim Byres of SMOKE, Chicken Scratch, The Foundry, Bar Belmont and SMOKE Plano will host the Second Annual Salute to King Creole Crawfish Festival at Chicken Scratch and The Foundry. From 4:30 8:30 p.m., guests will let the good times roll with all things Louisiana. All-you-can-eat Creole tastings created by Chef Tim Byres highlighting Cajun Crawfish Company, live Zydeco music and spirited libations will round out the day.
Tastes will be served throughout the compound at separate stations including a Gumbo Station, Oyster Station, Andouille Sausage station, and of course, an authentic Low Country Boil Station filled with farm-raised Louisiana crawfish gussied up with potatoes, sweet corn, and special herbs and spices. Besides the good eatin', festival-goers will enjoy cocktails provided by Jim Beam Kentucky Fire and beer provided by Dallas' own Deep Ellum Brewing Company. In addition to the Louisiana chow-down, local artists John Arseneau and Joe Haasch of Elm St. Tattoo will be slingin' ink on all in favor of a custom-made, Creole-themed tattoo, and "swampadelic" Zydeco band, Dr. Zog, will be performing throughout the day on The Foundry's outdoor stage.
Tickets to the Second Annual Salute to King Creole Crawfish Festival cost $20 per person ($25 at the door) and include all-you-can-eat crawfish, corn, potatoes, gumbo, oysters and Andouille sausage as well as a cash bar stocked with Jim Beam Kentucky Fire and brews from Deep Ellum Brewing Company. Chicken Scratch and The Foundry will remain open and will continue serving their regular menus to those not participating in the Salute to King Creole Crawfish Festival. This event is rain or shine. Children 5 and under eat for free.
