Clarion West Presents: Cory Doctorow in Conversation
Please join us for an evening of conversation with Cory Doctorow on July 28 at 7 p.m. at the University Temple United Methodist Church, 1415 Northeast 43rd Street, Seattle (across the street from the University Book Store).
This exciting evening is a chance to see Doctorow talk about his work and about the predictive powers of science fiction for both good and ill. Doctorow will be reading from his work, and then Frank Catalano, columnist for Geekwire and strategic analyst, will be interviewing Doctorow. Proceeds from ticket sales go to support Clarion West, a nonprofit that helps bring new and diverse voices in science fiction and fantasy to the world.
Cory Doctorow is a science fiction author, activist, journalist and blogger - the co-editor of Boing Boing and the author of young adult novels like Homeland, Pirate Cinema, and Little Brother; and novels for adults like Rapture of the Nerds and Makers. He is the former European director of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and co-founded the UK Open Rights Group. Born in Toronto, Canada, he now lives in London.
