Catholic School Daze
Catholic School Daze is currently a 60 minute autobiographical solo play that tells the story of 'Karen' who is forced to attend Catholic High school. Karen not only discovers her gender non-conforming proclivities but also discovers her connection with and love of Christ. However, 265 hours of Christian Service later, Karen is forced to take the blame for an act of "lesbianism" in front of the whole school. Who will save her now? Bullied by administrators and schoolmates alike, Karen is forced to make difficult decisions to survive Catholic High School, even if it means becoming a "catholic chola." Karen's 'resurrection' as a new Catholic girl creates Humorous ensuing as Karen's attempts restoring their reputation with a surprising outcome Karen would never expect that takes her down a rabbit hole where she has to decide how to overcome the trauma
