Dallas Arts Advocacy Day
The Dallas Area Cultural Advocacy Coalition (DACAC) presents the eighth annual Dallas Arts Advocacy Day Luncheon and Advocacy Seminar sessions on Tuesday, April 14 beginning at noon at the Latino Cultural Center.
Arts Advocacy Day is an opportunity for everyone interested in the arts to learn more about effective advocacy, current arts issues and new opportunities.
The Luncheon features Keynote Speaker, Nigel Redden, Director of the famed Spoleto Arts Festival and also Director of the Lincoln Center Festival.
The two afternoon Advocacy Sessions begin are at 1:30 and 3:00 p.m. The first session is an Overview of HOT Tax (Hotel/Motel Tax) in Texas and how it is used in the major cities in Texas to support arts and culture. The second session is on Crisis Communications with Christine Rogers from Sparkfarm. The time to develop a Crisis Communications strategy is before you need one.
