Event
of Honey Bees and the Brevity of Such Things
A new indie rock musical by Aaron and Anna Jones! Directed by Brett Goldstein
Pennsylvania, 1889. Two turnip farmers, Peter and Mary, suddenly lose their entire turnip crop in a ferocious winter frost. With little left to live on, they wander through the woods, searching for a solution, and seem to find their answer in the wonderful (and highly sought after) honey of the Buffalo Bee. Trains! Exposition Universelle! Honey! Everything is sticky. Part myth, part made up, the story deals in dreams and success: what defines them, who defines them, and how they define us.
Directions from Manhattan: Take the L to the Lorimer stop in Williamsburg. Exit at front of train onto the north side of Metropolitan Ave. Walk past San Marco Pizza along Lorimer. 1 block past the BQE overpass, turn left onto Frost. 17 Frost has a white corrugated garage door.
