Greater Erie Film Office Seminar: Intellectual Property, Copyright and Trademark for Creative Works
Attorney Jonathan D'Silva will present an intellectual property seminar for filmmakers and other creative artists. The seminar will include basic concepts related to IP, in addition to a more detailed presentation on copyrights and trademarks. Attorney D'Silva will explain the difference between copyrights and trademarks, what they protect, how they're enforced, and how to secure them for your own work. He will also explain how embedded trademarks create opportunities for funding and revenue.
Jonathan D'Silva is a registered patent attorney who practices various aspects of intellectual property law from prosecuting patent, trademark, and copyright applications, to drafting agreements for the sale or licensing of intellectual property, to the enforcement of intellectual property rights. Jonathan is Chairman of MacDonald Illig's Intellectual Property Group and the newly created Emerging Technology Group.
