PSYCHO DERBY BOOT CAMP

Do you love to skate but need a challenge?
Are you interested in seeing if roller derby is the sport for you?
Do you need to get in shape for recruitment or just in general?
Are you looking for a fun, athletic, stress releasing outlet?

...If you answered YES to any question, then Psycho Derby Boot Camp is for YOU!

Days: Thursdays from January 13th to February 10th
Times: 8:30-10:30pm

For Men & Women ages 18 and up!

No prior experience is necessary!

Cost: $30

We will teach you the basics of derby and skating (stopping, starting, crossovers, blocking, endurance, pack work, footwork, agility, etc.) as well as the basics of how to play OSDA roller derby. We expect that you give your all at the boot camp and then practice on your own time too!

We require the following equipment for the boot camp:
+ Mouth guard (Brand recommendation: Shock Doctor)
+ Skateboard style Helmet (Brand recommendation: Triple Eight, Pro Tec, S One, TSG)
+ Skateboard style pads (wrists, elbows & knees) (Brand recommendation: Triple Eight, Pro Tec, S One, TSG, Pro Design)
+ Quad Roller Skates (you can use rink rentals if you need to, but we highly recommend getting a pair of your own; Visit Universal's pro shop for info on skates) (Brand recommendation: Reidell)

If you have any questions about gear, PLEASE email us!

Optional information:
+ Butt pads - we highly suggest you get these if you are worried about tailbone injuries.
+ Health Insurance - injuries happen! We highly suggest you get some kind of health insurance if possible. Otherwise, be aware that you are participating at your own risk!
