The Piglet Party 2010
The Piglet Party: Celebrating the Second Annual Tournament of Cookbooks. Hosted by Charlotte Druckman and food52 co-founders Amanda Hesser and Merrill Stubbs.

Starting November 9th, watch the action unfold in the Tournament of Cookbooks on food52.com, as 16 of 2010's best cookbooks go head to head in a bracketed competition, vying for the coveted Piglet Trophy. The night before the winner is officially declared, come raise a glass with authors and judges as you sample fare from local vendors -- Van Leeuwen, Rick's Picks, Dorie Greenspan, Liddabit Sweets, Mexicue, Nuts + Nuts, Theo Peck, Salumeria Rosi, June Taylor, Lush, Lucy's Whey and the Cellars at Jasper Hill, and Russ & Daughters. -- at this event celebrating the culmination of this year's tournament. There will be wine from Hanna Winery, beer from Kelso of Brooklyn and Ayala's sparkling herbal water, as well as a special Piglet cocktail. We'll also be raffling off a package of OXO goodies worth $250!

What's more, starting at 8pm, we'll hold a lively panel discussion on "Food Porn" moderated by Frank Bruni. Panelists will include Chris Cosentino, Deb Perelman, Ben Leventhal and Frank Falcinelli, and we'll present a mouth-watering photo slideshow courtesy of the editors at the New York Times. Adam Roberts, aka the Amateur Gourmet, will emcee.

Join us November 30th for fun and refreshment, and be among the first to find out who will go home with this year's Piglet award!

$5 of your ticket price will go to Wellness in the Schools, a non-profit, community based organization founded in 2005 in order to improve the environment, nutrition, and fitness in NYC public schools. Tickets will also be sold at the door to those with exact change only.
