Homies Empowerment Program is proud to present Nobel Prize Winner Rigoberta Menchu as she delivers a talk on immigration at the inauguration of the auditorium at Urban Promise Academy in the Fruitvale neighborhood of Oakland, CA.
This event is a fundraiser for the Chicana/Latina Foundation, Oakland LEAF Urban Arts and the Urban Services YMCA's Homies Empowerment Program.
The event is sponsored by the Unity Council, Chicana/Latina Foundation, Oakland LEAF Urban Arts, SFSU Step to College, SFSU Raza Professors Association, Homies Empowerment Program, and the One Day At A Time Foundation.
Doors open at 6:00p.m.

Tickets are affordable for all!
Students/Youth only $3
Adults only $5
Donation (For folks who can't attend or want to support the 3 orgs) $9.99 (This can serve as a ticket as well!)
There will be a private meet and greet dinner with Rigoberta Menchu from 5:30-6:30p.m. Tickets are $50 and include a Guatemalan meal.
ALL proceeds will go to our collective fundraiser.
