BLF 15th Annual Auction
The Berkeley Law Foundation is an income-sharing organization comprised of Berkeley Law students and alumni who are dedicated to providing legal services to historically under-served communities. Started in 1976 by Berkeley Law students, BLF was the first organization of its kind in the nation.
BLFs primary goal is funding public interest law through summer grants for current Boalt students and year-long grants for new attorneys around the country. Besides providing crucial funding for legal services, BLF works to ensure diversity in legal education and the profession. To this end, BLF created the Phoenix Fellowship, which provides several outstanding Boalt students of color funding to do public interest legal work.
The Annual Auction is the primary fundraiser for the Phoenix Fellowship, providing students, alumni, faculty and attorneys an opportunity to join together in support of public interest law and diversity in the legal profession.
