Mark Growden and Friends in the Round - Presented by Songbird Festival Winter Series
After months on the road touring and honing his craft, Mark Growden celebrates his return home with two evenings of his favorite pastimes, singing songs for people and singing with people.
Mark is at a.Muse gallery on Novemeber 5th and 6th. The focus of the 6th is sing-a-longs, call and response and other participatory musical happenings.
Join Mark to lend your voice and lift your spirits with an exuberant mix of some of your most-loved songs from Mark's repertoire, from the old favorites to the exquisite cover versions to the traditional music of our country's vast empty spaces.
There will be no audience for these concerts - Mark's first in San Francisco since May and last till his CD release concerts at Brava in February - just a group of friends coming together to experience the intimate magic of singing together. You don't need to think of yourself as a singer to attend, but prepare yourself to be swept up in the joy of hearing your own voice, as Mark leads the room through two nights of magical collaboration. If you've attended Mark's COVERT events, singing workshops, and/or concerts in the past few years, you owe it to yourself not to miss these two evenings, which will be a wholly unique blend of those various kinds of experiences. And if you've never experienced Mark Growden's gorgeous music, you're in for a rare treat.
