The Snow Queen

Bring the entire family to California Contemporary Ballet's 13th annual winter-time tale based on the original story by Hans Christian Andersen. Join Gerda in her adventures, as she persists to save her best friend Kai. Along the way, you will meet the Enchantress, Gypsy Girl, the Rose, the Crow, and you will be treated to a grand Pas de Deux, performed by the Prince and Princess. Open yourself to the world of the Snow Queen as she reverses an age-old tragedy and brings tears of joy to an entire village.

Complete with brilliant lighting and set design, custom-made costumes, beautiful versatile choreography and an original moving musical score.

The principal roles are performed by the talented professional dancers of California Contemporary Ballet supported by its youth company members, all of whom train and rehearse daily as part of an intensive program designed for serious dancers who wish to perform at the highest caliber.
