Changing the Story : an evening with Dick Gordon
Beating the odds, achieving the unexpected, or otherwise "changing the story" in the midst of hardship and uncertainty is the theme of Avalon's annual benefit celebration.
Headlining the evening will be public radio host Dick Gordon. He'll be bringing his award winning show, The Story, to the stage of the newly renovated amphitheater in University of Michigan's history Rackham building. You won't want to miss this rare, live production of one of the most popular - and poignant - interview programs gracing the airwaves today.
Special guest: Farmer Lee Jones of Chef's Table, a sustainable, organic family run farm that provides specialty vegetables and edible flowers to top chef's around the world. Farmer Lee highly sought after as an expert in the culinary industry and in sustainable agriculture. He's also a Food Network favorite and the very first farmer judge of Iron Chef America.
Tickets include an afterglow reception that you will not want to miss!
