The female version of the popular play is fashioned after the male version for which a movie and two television remakes have aired. The story follows the unlikely duo of Olive Madison, a divorcee and admitted slob, and Florence Unger, her recently separated, fuss-budget friend, as they unwittingly become roommates causing chaos of the most hilarious order. Girlfriends join in the antics as the two roomies either become the best of friends or kill each other.
