Living Downstream in Chicago (Film Screening)
Living Downstream will be screened on Tuesday October 19, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Museum of Contemporary Art Theater in Chicago, IL!
Based on the acclaimed book by Illinois native, ecologist, and cancer survivor Sandra Steingraber, Ph.D., Living Downstream is a visceral and cinematic documentary. This film follows Sandra around North AmericaâÂ"and back to central IllinoisâÂ"as she works to break the silence about cancer and its environmental links.
Join author Sandra Steingraber and filmmaker Chanda Chevannes at the Museum of Contemporary Art as they present Living Downstream in one of five screenings in Illinois this October. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session and a book signing of the newly updated second edition of Living Downstream, hosted by Women and Children First.
This screening is a special presentation of The Land Connection.
*NOTE: Tickets purchased online using the "will call" option will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Theater, and can be collected thirty minutes before the screening. Tickets will be sold online until the end of the day on October 18. After this time, remaining tickets will be available for purchase in-person at the Museum of Contemporary Art Theater thirty minutes before the screening.
Advance tickets are also available in person from Women and Children First, 5233 N. Clark Street, Chicago.
