A queer multidisciplinary exploration of love, marriage and gender, curated and hosted by spoken word pioneer and comedian Regie Cabico. With film director and monologuist Silas Howard, performance artist Heather Arc and others... Regie Cabico is a spoken word pioneer having won the Nuyorican Poets Cafe Grand Slam and is the first openly queer and Asian American performer to take top prizes in the National Poetry Slam. Television credits include 2 seasons of HBO's Def Poetry Jam. He is the recipient of three New York Innovative Theater Award Nominations for his work in the New York Company of TOO MUCH LIGHT MAKES THE BABY GO BLIND, with an award for Best Performance Art Production. The Kenyon Review recently named him 'The Lady Gaga of Poetry' and Bust Magazine named him in the 100 Men We Love... Door proceeds to benefit The Actors Fund for HOWL! HELP.
M. LAMAR
After dropping out of Yale School of Art and completing a degree at the San Francisco Art Institute, the prodigious, objectified and unsatisfied visual artist Reginald M Lamar turned his attention to music, receiving extensive operatic training from many teachers most notably famed Performer, Voice Teacher/Director Ira Siff with whom he continues to study.
In 2008 Lamar's work was presented along side world renowned performance artist Ron athey in The Biennale d'art performatif de Rouyn-Noranda.Quebec, Canada. Also 2008 found Lamar as featured performer in Tony nominated performance artist Justin Bonds award winning show Lustre at P.S. 122 and Abons Arts Center in New York city.
Lamar has also toured the nation performing in galleries Museums and concert halls.
In July 2009 Lamar's Concert Installation THE BLACK DEATH premiered at the Chocolate Factory in New York with rave critical response. In May 2010 Lamar's new evening length theatrically presented song cycle Dirty Dirty Nigga: Songs of Rebellion Rebirth and Resistance premiered at The Center of Performance Research. Lamar's new album Souls on Lockdown was released In January 2010. In February 2011 Lamar begins a two week residence at Abrons Art Center where he will be workshopping his new piece White supremacy a Love Storyfg

SILAS HOWARD
Writer, director, and musician, Silas Howard's first feature By Hook Or By Crook,was a 2002 Sundance Film Festival premiere and five-time Best Feature winner. The film secured theatrical release national and was the picked up by the Sundance Channel. Howard's first short documentary, What I Love About Dying premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival.
Silas played in the notorious queer punk band Tribe 8 for seven years. His writing is published in several anthologies and art journals. He received an MFA in directing at UCLA.
and Cooler, Silas Howard's second feature, is in post production. His solo show, Thank You For Being Urgent has toured the US, Canada and northern Europe.
HEATHER M. ÁCS (HEATHER ARC) is a Brooklyn-based, multi-media theatre performance artist, activist, educator and high-femme troublemaker. Her gritty, glittery work has been featured in festivals, theatres, and galleries across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, including the W2 Gallery in Vancouver, B.C., Les Complices Gallery in Zurich, the Center for Sex and Culture in San Francisco, and the Public Theater, HERE Arts Center, the Kitchen, Dixon Place, the Culture Project, and the International Fringe Festival in New York City. She performs and facilitates workshops at community spaces, colleges and conferences from coast to coast. Heather has worked with Nao Bustamante, Karen Finley, Claude Michelle-Wampler, J. Ed Araiza of the SITI Company, and filmmaker, Steven Soderbergh. She is also a dedicated teaching artist. She uses theatre as a tool for social change with low-income youth in cities across the country and has studied with Cornerstone Theatre Company, Sojourn Theatre, the Living Theatre, and Augusto Boal.
GEOFF TRENCHARD
Geoff Kagan Trenchard's poems have been published in numerous journals including Word Riot, The Nervous Breakdown, The Worcester Review, and November 3rd. As a mentor for Urban Word NYC, he taught weekly poetry workshops in the foster care center at Bellevue. He has also taught creative writing workshops in Rikers Island with Columbia University's "Youth Voices on Lockdown" Program. He is a recipient of a fellowship from the Riggio Writing and Democracy program at the New School and the louderARTS Writing Fellowship. He has performed poetry on HBO's Def Poetry Jam, at universities throughout the United States, and in theaters internationally as a member of the performance poetry troupe The Suicide Kings. He lives in Brooklyn.
