THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO SEVERAL REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS HAVING UNEXPECTED SCHEDULE CONFLICTS. A NEW DATE WILL BE SET AND POSTED SOON.
"An Introduction to the Soil Food Web" will be Saturday, March 14th beginning at 9:30 am.(NOW POSTPONED) This workshop was originally presented for MOON/OEFFA in 2012. For the grower or individual interested in deeper soil science, this workshop is intended to introduce the participant to the amazing micro and macro community living within our soils, and how to promote these relationships for healthier soils, and thus healthier crops (and healthier people). This 3.5 hour workshop is fast paced, and gives a solid overview of soil microbiology from a layman's perspective, along with growing practices to capitalize on and enhance beneficial Soil Food Web relationships. It's about 100 PowerPoint slides, with a LOT of information. Deep? Perhaps here and there - but full of COOL stuff, guaranteed to convince us that LIVING SOIL is not DIRT to be taken lightly!
"An Introduction to the Soil Food Web" is complimentary to, and builds upon Craig's other workshop: "An Introduction to Organic Gardening" offered on Saturday, February 28, 2015 @ 9:30 am. More information & registration at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/1238024
