The Grape Cup
Celebrate the beginning of football season as this friendly rivalry heats up with a head to head tasting competition of wineries and breweries from Husky and Cougar alumni. On Thursday, Sept. 16th from 6:30pm to 9pm, the Grape Cup kicks off! More than 20 wineries and breweries are ready to go grape to grape and hop to hop to battle it out for bragging rights. Who makes better wines and brews, Husky Alums or Cougars?
South Lake Union's newest event venue, 415 Westlake, has been reserved for this friendly "tasting competition" along with some tailgate fare to enjoy by reknowned Chef Tom Black and Mark Huston! Guests, along with a panel of wine/food pros, will judge entries from both sides and declare the Second Annual "Grape Cup" winners for what is the wine/beer version of this friendly rivalry. Get into the spirit and start the season off right!
Proceeds for this event will go to support the Washington State Farmworker Housing Trust, a non-profit organization that works to fund safe, affordable housing for farmworkers, provide homes for families, help growers and support rural communities across Washington State.
